Postpartum Care

Nurturing mothers through personalized postpartum care, offering emotional support, newborn care education, breastfeeding guidance, and holistic recovery for a smooth transition into motherhood.

Holistic Care Designed for You and Baby

Our postpartum care services are designed to provide holistic care, as you and your family adjust to life with a newborn. We provide 3 at-home visits where you’ll receive newborn care education, breastfeeding support, and guidance on nutritious meal planning with meals provided. Visits are typically around 3 hours a day (Mon-Fri).

Comprehensive plans will include Guided Baby Massage and Core Recovery, thus further extending your visits.

Reservations for postpartum care services are usually made at the beginning of your last trimester (around 29 weeks) ahead of your scheduled due date. Buffer weeks will be made to accommodate for early/late deliveries.

Initial Consultation

We’ll sit down together to go over a personalized postpartum care plan, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your needs.
We’ll talk through your postpartum care preferences, review your recovery plan, including any dietary restrictions, and discuss how I can best support you in those early days. This is your opportunity to ask any questions and ensure you feel fully prepared for the transition into motherhood, with personalized care ready to meet your needs once your baby arrives.
Once we’re both on the same page, we’ll finalize the agreement and prepare for this next phase of motherhood.

Emotional Support & Resources

We provide a judgment-free space where you can talk about any challenges you’re facing that often come with the postpartum phase—whether it’s sleep deprivation, feelings of overwhelm, or adjusting to your new role as a mother. We offer active listening, helpful advice, and emotional reassurance to help you feel more grounded and supported. Other aspects of support can include:

Guided Relaxation Techniques: Offering you relaxation exercises like deep breathing, mindfulness, or meditation to help reduce stress and anxiety.

Coping Strategies for Exhaustion: Offering you emotional guidance on how to manage sleep deprivation, frustration, or feelings of burnout during those challenging early days.

Resource Referrals: If you’re struggling emotionally, providing referrals to mental health professionals, support groups, or counselors specializing in postpartum care.

The postpartum phase doesn’t have to feel isolating or overwhelming— with the support of a postpartum specialist, you can have guidance, comfort, and rest assurance that you have help during those first few days or weeks.

Infant Care Education

We want you to feel empowered in your new role. From understanding feeding and sleep patterns to mastering diapering, bathing, and soothing techniques, our personalized sessions help you feel fully prepared to care for your little one.  Key areas include:

Feeding and Nutrition: Guidance on breastfeeding and formula feeding(if you choose). This includes proper latch techniques, feeding schedules, and tips for burping to prevent discomfort.

Sleep Routines and Safe Sleep Practices: Learning about newborn sleep patterns, establishing a routine, and understanding safe sleep guidelines.

Caring for the Umbilical Cord: Instruction on proper care of the umbilical cord stump to ensure it heals safely and prevents infection.

Recognizing Hunger and Fullness Cues: Helping you understand your baby’s nonverbal cues for hunger or fullness to avoid over- or under-feeding.

…and more.

Nutrition Meal Prep

We provide easy, balanced meal ideas and prep tailored to support your recovery and energy needs. We focus on nutrient-rich foods that promote healing, boost lactation, and keep you feeling strong as you care for your newborn and as you recover. Let us help simplify meal planning so you can focus on bonding and self-care while fueling your body with what it needs most. We can help with preparing:

Simple and Efficient Meal Prep: We create easy-to-prepare meals that can be batch-cooked and frozen for convenience. Examples include soups, stews, casseroles, and grain bowls that can be stored and reheated without losing nutritional value.

Herbs and Healing Foods: Including foods and herbs known for their healing properties to support immunity and reduce inflammation. Herbal remedies may also be suggested to assist with lactation and digestion.

Postpartum Recovery Beverages: We prepare nourishing drinks like bone broths, lactation teas, or nutrient-packed smoothies that can aid in hydration, healing, and milk production.

Breastfeeding Support

It’s no secret that breastfeeding can be challenging. But we’re here to help you become confident on your journey.

Whether navigating latch issues, milk supply concerns, or simply needing reassurance, we provide hands-on support and practical tips tailored to you and your baby. Support may also include:

Positioning Guidance: Demonstrating different breastfeeding positions for both comfort and effectiveness.

Pumping Support: Guidance on using breast pumps, storing milk, and creating a pumping schedule.

Overcoming Challenges: Addressing common issues such as nipple pain, engorgement, or low supply with practical solutions.
