For Parents & Caregivers

Becoming a parent is a beautiful yet transformative journey. This workshop equips expectant parents with practical knowledge, emotional preparation, and essential tools to confidently navigate birth, postpartum healing, newborn care, and the transition into parenthood. Topics include feeding, sleep, recovery, emotional shifts, and building a strong support system for the postpartum period.

This workshop explores the importance of early attachment and how parents can foster a secure and loving bond with their baby. Through gentle interaction, emotional attunement, and responsive caregiving, parents will learn practical ways to build trust, promote brain development, and support their baby’s overall well-being.

This hands-on, 5-week baby massage series teaches parents the art of gentle, intentional touch to promote relaxation, ease digestion, improve sleep, and deepen the parent-infant bond. Rooted in evidence-based infant massage techniques, this class provides a calming, supportive environment for parents to connect, communicate, and nurture their babies through the power of touch.

This 6-week postpartum fitness and recovery series is designed to help moms restore core strength, improve posture, and support pelvic floor health after childbirth. Whether recovering from a vaginal birth or C-section, these sessions offer safe, functional exercises to help moms feel strong, confident, and connected to their bodies again.

For Community Organizations

An empowering workshop that helps expectant parents build the confidence and practical skills to advocate for themselves during pregnancy and birth. Participants explore informed consent, communicating preferences, asking questions, navigating unexpected changes, and honouring the cultural values and traditions that matter to them—so they can enter the birth space feeling informed, prepared, and confident in their voice.

An interactive workshop exploring the power of collective care in supporting Black families through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Together, we reflect on traditions of communal care, the realities that can make support harder to access today, and practical ways to rebuild our villages—helping families feel more connected, supported, and held.

In this sacred circle, Black parents are invited to share, witness, and honour the stories that shape their birth and parenting journeys. Through storytelling, we reclaim power, affirm identity, and connect across generations. Whether joyful, complex, or still unfolding, each story becomes part of our collective healing.

This workshop supports Black newcomer families in understanding how discipline practices from back home may be viewed differently in Canada. Families will learn about the Children’s Aid Society (CAS), Canadian laws on discipline, and practical ways to guide children safely while honouring cultural values of respect, guidance, and community care.

Professional Learning for Early Years Teams

This powerful workshop invites caregivers, professionals, and support workers to deepen their understanding of the emotional landscape mothers navigate after birth. From identity shifts and hormonal changes to feelings of overwhelm, isolation, and joy, we explore the spectrum of postpartum emotions with compassion and insight. Participants will gain tools to recognize signs of emotional distress, respond with empathy, and create supportive environments that honor each mother’s lived experience. Rooted in cultural sensitivity and evidence-based practices, this session is a call to hold space for healing, connection, and the sacred transformation into motherhood.

Strong relationships with families are at the heart of meaningful early years practice. This interactive workshop supports educators in building trusting, respectful partnerships with parents and caregivers while navigating communication, differing perspectives, boundaries, and challenging moments. Participants will explore practical, relationship-centred strategies that strengthen collaboration and create more positive experiences for families and educators.

This interactive workshop invites early years professionals to explore what it means to move beyond inclusion toward genuine belonging for Black children and families. Through reflection, discussion, and practical strategies, participants will examine culturally responsive practice, strengthen relationships with families, and consider how everyday interactions and environments can help Black families feel seen, respected, and valued.
